Reach the World

Reach the World is the global strategic plan of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. This strategy has three essential components: Reach Up to God, Reach In with God, and Reach Out with God. Reach Up to God We believe in prayer. Being connected with God is the essential component of spiritual growth. The book of Acts emphasizes that the church must wait on the Holy Spirit first before we go out to witness. Each church member must have a living, vibrant relationship with God. This can be achieved through prayer, bible study, and listening to God through the Holy Spirit’s voice. Reach In With God We believe in discipleship. Nurturing the body of Christ so that each member will reach its full potential for the mission is the goal. Each member is encouraged to see himself as a partaker of the church and not just a visitor to the church. We believe in the unity of the body of Christ. Each church member must be engaged and be involved in the life of the church and stay together in harmony as one body of Christ. We emphasize love, determined effort, tolerance, kindness, generosity, encouragement, and connectedness in the faith community. Reach Out with God We believe in a holistic ministry based on Jesus’ experience. All departments of the church must be involved in ministry. The Seventh-day Adventist Church focuses on mission by starting new groups of believers, by having mission to the cities, creating urban centers of influence, and having global mission pioneers especially in the 10/40 window territory which covers the countries of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
