The Seventh-Day Adventist Church, a global Christian organization, has a membership of over 21 million individuals. The governance of such a vast congregation presents formidable challenges. In its quest to address diverse cultural backgrounds and manage church affairs more effectively worldwide, the Adventist Church has established divisions and affiliated organizations. One such division, the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD), plays a pivotal role in this structure.

SSD exercises its leadership over the expansive Southern Asia-Pacific region, serving a membership of more than 1.8 million individuals hailing from fourteen countries. Overseeing thirteen unions, SSD is dedicated to equipping, nurturing, and developing both leaders and members within its territory, with the overarching goal of fulfilling the church's purpose.

Annual meetings, held by various church organizations, are indispensable for ensuring cohesion and alignment of efforts toward reaching a global community. These meetings provide a platform for leaders from the General Conference to communicate vital decisions and strategies tailored to different regions.

The ministry of our church is carried out through numerous departments and services, each tailored to the unique needs of diverse communities worldwide. Our outreach extends to youth, families, children, women, men, and many others, demonstrating our commitment to engaging with people from all walks of life.

Given the weighty responsibilities of leaders with significant territorial influence, collaboration and dissemination are essential to ensuring the church works together harmoniously in sharing the message of hope and healing. This synergy comes to life during the pre-meetings.

Pre-meetings bring together leaders from organizations and institutions within a particular territorial cluster, facilitating learning, development, and strategy alignment with the global church. Departmental leaders use this platform to present ongoing projects and initiatives within their respective fields. These initiatives often have a worldwide scope. Moreover, various committees convene during the pre-meetings to formalize the approval of recommendations for programs and initiatives.

For the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, the pre-meetings will span from November 1–5, leading into the SSD Annual Year-End Meeting scheduled for November 6–8. The SSD Annual Gathering of Leaders is not merely an annual reunion; it serves as a week of intensive planning, discernment, and prayer. It is a time when leaders in the SSD make crucial decisions that will contribute to the spread of the gospel in this challenging territory.

During this period, your prayers are immensely valuable. We humbly request that you include our church worldwide in your prayers, seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance in our endeavors and divine wisdom to inform the decisions that will uplift His name and bring hope and salvation to the world.
